Alright Ya’ll…
As we have been going through the pricing and services this year (as promised) after our recent changes in order to evaluate the changes and adjust to give our neighbors the best possible services, at the best possible prices, with the most impactful results we have made some major adjustments and would like to share some of them here.
Which Frequency is Right for My Home?
- Regardless of any other pest, Do you have ACTIVE rodent issues? If yes, you should enroll in Monthly Services in order to remediate the rodents, or we can determine if exclusion may be best for your scenario, allowing a lower frequency plan long term.
- Do you want Mosquito, Tick, and/or Rodent PREVENTION but NO ACTIVE Rodent Infestation? If this is you, enroll in Bi-Monthly Flex Services in order to effectively control these pests during the active seasons and have on-call outside of them.
- Do you have a Commercial Property with foot traffic, or open to public, or Air BnB? You will probably want Monthly Services in order to effectively control pests with excess foot traffic and different human habits and patterns in the home, possibly leading to pests quicker than single family home. Additionally, for Commercial properties we offer IPM programs as well for Schools and Daycares, and then Hybrid IPM programs for Most other Commercial Clients which are best and most effectively managed on a Monthly Schedule.
If you are unsure of the plan that best suits you, we can always help with the assessment process. We offer initial pest assessments so you are informed with the knowledge of what we see during our inspections pertaining to active pests and pest conducive conditions, which includes maintenance issues, cracks, gaps, landscaping issues, water management, crawlspace, sealing of vents and doors and access points, roof, chimney, flashing, etc.
- Do you live in the home full time? If you answered no, you may opt for Quarterly Treatments just to keep seasonal pests under control. (This frequency may see some pests between visits and some web buildup)
- If you answered Yes, you may want to go with the Bi-Monthly Flex Plan, which will give you over-lapping protection 12 months out of the year, and then On-Request 2x yearly as needed, should you need us for any pests that may emerge on a warm day. This plan as mentioned above, allows for Mosquito and Tick Prevention built in, or Rodent Prevention.
Hopefully this helps to determine which plan is best for your individual situation. Rest Assured our technicians will inspect your property and recommend the best frequency in our professional opinion. If your wondering, “What if I am on Quarterly and then get a mouse in the winter?”. Well, we have an answer for that as well, as a re-occurring plan customer you have on-request visits included, determined by your plan. You can give us a call or let us know on your next scheduled visit about the issue, and your technician can assess the situation, provide options for relief and ongoing prevention. These options can include, interior monitoring/removal for any rodents that have gained access, while excluding the entry point, or a separate rodent plan in addition to your pest plan, that occurs on it’s own frequency and billing until the issue is resolved, or you may always modify your plan to Monthly and add ongoing long-term rodent prevention and monitoring interior and/or exterior. We have custom plan solutions to fit your needs.
Now, Say you don’t like to be billed on a Monthly basis and you don’t really care about on-request service or any of the add-on pests such as Mosquitos, Ticks, or Rodents… We thought of you too! However, most folks in this category are of the impression that 2x year will work just fine. In some cases… maybe, but that is just sheer luck of pest patterns and proper structure and landscape maintenance. The best residual products on the market are not going to last more than approx. 90 days when exposed to the weather conditions outside. Now, that doesn’t mean some types of insecticide formulations don’t last longer, however the majority or the products used in the industry will simply not last that long, and are dependent on proper timing and maintenance to extend the prevention or efficacy of the application. With this being said, we have recognized that not all folks that don’t like monthly billing will want to pay a higher price for One-Time Treatments either Basic (outside) or Detailed (Inside/Outside) each and every time, so we created a “Discounted Scheduled Treatment Plan” otherwise known as the Tri-Annual Detailed Service. These are labeled as detailed treatments because they include inside when needed on each visit. If you have a specific issue, like an outbreak of ants, you can always add on a targeted pest treatment to any visit for a nominal fee, for specialty pest specific products to be applied for proper control, paired with your detailed service visit for ongoing prevention. This “Tri-Annual Detailed Visits” do not have On-Request visits and are simply designed for the minimal visit frequency in order to effectively control pests from March – November.
Okay… We covered the plans and how to select one, but what about Pest Control WV makes us different? How do we help you to prevent pests regularly and solve rodents issues, rather than keep charging you with no solution. Of course, our technicians will conduct a thorough inspection and determine the conducive conditions and entry points of pests and/or rodents. You will receive a document with photos outlining the areas that we recommend addressing in order to effectively seal the home from pests and rodents, while improving any landscaping conditions that may invite additional pests as referred to above, a “Pest Assessment” is free upon start-up of General Pest plan or Rodent Plan.
This is the key to making lasting change and keeping pests away long-term.

We believe that our ability to see things from an exterminators perspective and knowledge of pest biology and habits are why we are able to efficiently prevent pests. We are now bridging that gap with you (the homeowner) by offering these reports at discounted rates or completely FREE with enrollment in plan services. We are your neighbors, and we want to help you get rid of pests, not learn to live with them.
Now, lastly… with our Treatment and Prevention services we rely heavily on our inspection, and knowledge of pests, their habits and biology in order to effectively prevent pests from season to season. We execute this by applicating meticulously in the right areas, using the right premium grade products, at the right time, and on rotation to prevent pesticide resistance. We pair this service with our local office staff, and the ability to text or call for service, and what more can you really ask for?
Till next time we have a thought or update to share, take care neighbors, Joel.
